QUANTA - Technical Requirements

Platform Requirements

 

QUANTA requires the following minimum configuration:

  • Intel® Pentium III or compatible processor running at 1 GHz or greater
  • 512 MB RAM
  • Linux - x86 (32-bit)
    • Red Hat® Enterprise Linux 3.0
    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.0
  • Linux - x86-64 (64-bit)*
    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
  • GNOME desktop environment
  • NVIDIA® Quadro® FX graphics card using NVIDIA Linux drivers
  • Screen resolution of 1280 x 1024
  • Disc space: 300MB, with an additional 480MB required for database.dat (separate media)
  • A three-button mouse (for the IBM Thinkpad a separate three-button mouse is required)

Background jobs can be run on servers without the graphics requirements listed above. The other hardware requirements must be met.

*64-bit support is provided using 32-bit binaries.
