We are looking for a senior level product marketing management professional to lead the specification and design of Accelrys’ next generation of modeling and simulation software products by leveraging our world-class Pipeline Pilot platform products. Key responsibilities of this position include making build-buy decisions, identification of potential partners and products, and initiate in-licensing partnerships. Working closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to produce materials as well as assisting in the planning and use of seminars and user group meetings will be a part of this role’s responsibilities. This position will also create competitive intelligence marketing analysis of the markets that we cater to and communicate this to the stake holders within the organization. The qualified candidate will possess at least 6+ years of software product marketing experience, preferably within a highly scientific or technical industry. The qualified candidate will be expected to possess direct experience with modeling, simulation, informatics, or platform oriented products. An ability to build relationships and work well in teams will be expected. A MS or MBA is preferred. Some travel is required in this role (about 25%).

The Account Manager, Renewals Coordinator will be responsible for retaining and increasing our maintenance revenue stream by contacting our existing customer base and reinstating customers. The Support Renewal Coordinator will be accountable for quarterly and annual sales targets for a designated region of the Americas. Accurate forecasting and order processing will be the primary responsibilities for the Account Manager, Renewals Coordinator. While the main focus of the position is to maintain and reinstate customers while increasing revenue stream, additional responsibilities include project work for promotional selling and pro-active customer service to ensure customer satisfaction. The qualified candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of outbound telephone sales experience, and at least 3 years of customer service experience preferably from a scientific and/or software sales environment, however former collections, insurance, or retail experience will suffice. A history of sales quota attainment and accurate forecasting is also needed. Above average customer service skills and experience is required and familiarity with any database is advantageous.

This role will share responsibility for developing statistical components within the SciTegic Enterprise Server platform for our customers in Materials and Life Sciences. Accelrys is looking for a Senior Solutions Consultant to join our Solutions Consulting group that will take responsibility for the design and implementation of custom enterprise software solutions based on SciTegic's Data Pipelining environment. The integration with commercial and non-commercial scientific packages from Accelrys or third-party vendors as well as making sure that the solutions are technically appropriate will be a top priority in this role. This position will be responsible for leading project teams as well as acting as client liaisons, managing performance review making sure that the projects are on time and within budget. Candidates must have strong object-oriented design skills and significant C++, Java / J2EE, Perl, and C# / .NET development expertise. Candidates should be comfortable with Oracle and capable to designing relation database models for OLTP and data warehousing. Consultants will work with business owners, scientists, and engineers in the life science and materials science fields to drive requirements gathering, solution design, and implementation of custom solutions. The qualified applicant must be willing to travel up to 30% and posses excellent written and verbal communication skills. S/he will posses a BS in CS/EE/ChE, or a PhD in Physics, Chemistry or a related discipline and have at least 5 years experience developing commercial software products or enterprise software applications. Applicants with a proven interest and expertise in life or materials science methods and familiar with a number of existing packages from Accelrys, Tripos, and MDL will be preferred.
